David-
I was just over at the shop checking on my 68 and, man, your car looks great! When Mike wasn't looking I took it out to the parking lot and roasted the hides a little. Had to bring it back into the shop when it started raining too hard. Hope you don't mind. The keys were in it. No worries, Mike says all that rubber will come right off the rear quarters. |
you are the kind of guy I like to but BBs under the hubcaps!:tool::sFi_punch:
David will sleep in it from now on till its done! |

It's starting to get later in the season though and last year since it was a wimpy winter, I drove the 68 the entire winter. I even went over to Dawg's house with the 68 close to Christmas with a bottle of scotch. I've gotta make sure that I don't drive this 69 all winter long!!! Being a white car, I could get buried in a snow bank and they won't find me until spring. LOL. |
I want to have sex with your car. That is all

I got delayed a little. My sister & brother-in-law recently moved to Galstonbury from Michigan. I was carsitting their 58 Austin Healey Sprite and a 73 Chinese military sidecar motorcycle along with all my brother-in-law's tools & garage stuff. Still have the sidecar bike, but hope to get rid of it soon. |

You should also have a thread dedicated to the numbers matching, bought new by your dad, very-rare, L30/M20. You can include videos showing it burning up the streets of Granby & East Granby!!! |

However, the whole journey of restoring this car has taken an emotional toll on me and my Dad. We've been through so much that we just want the car back on the road now (and not think about the past for a while). We are thankful (although much lighter on cash) that Mike has been able to make things right with the body & trim. Maybe one day I'll put something together. Now, back to your car. I was at the shop yesterday. Saw the hood stripes on and the windshield in. It looks great! I can't wait to see it with some big meats on the back! Good thing you're getting rid of the existing rear tires, because they keys were it it, so I decided to ...... oh, wait, that only works once. |
