The original 1988 builder, Fred, has replaced all the rotted windows and doors and has replaced all the warped siding. The new siding looks white.

My wife said the Money Pit looks good in white and maybe we should paint it white. I'm not sure. Maybe???

I like the cedar look too. The problem is 2 sides of the house have the old siding that are weathered. I definitely would have to go with a solid stain or paint, which doesn't really look like original boards that have been stained. The color ends up as one solid color.

I'd probably end up with a house that looks like a great big pumpkin. Or something like this:

Hey Dawg. The good news is that the wife is happy with the way things are coming out and is not crushing my balls this week. LOL.

The bad news is that some of the contractors are jumping between jobs and going to pending jobs where customers are complaining. It's dragging things out and it's taking 2x longer than what they said originally.

well then negotiate for a cheaper price!
After all they are not following the original contract.
