Yeah I am trying too. Didnt get much done yesterday. Once the little guy woke up from his nap forget it. Managed to get one converter bolt in and tighten up the exhaust clamps.
Well I got a decent amount done last night. Converter bolted up, starter in, driveshaft in, O2 sensors in and shifter linkage in and adjusted. Just need to button up some wiring underneath and then it is time to put on all of the front accessories and intake.
awesome sounds like any day now.
Yup. Got some more done tonight. Finished up the wiring underneath. Got the power steering back on, water pump and alternator. Just need plugs, wires, coils, intake, radiator, fuel rail and put fluids in it

That's GREAT!!! You must be real happy to have it back up and running!
congrats
Thanks guys. Yeah I definitely am excited about it. I did have a little issue with my intake. The motor was popping out the exhaust under load. Turns out I had a vacuum leak. I pulled the intake off and resealed it. Seems OK now!!
Get that shit out on the road now!!
How does the car go?
Running good man. Thanks for asking
Does it have the same hp as the old motor or more you think
Most likely the same. Didn't really change anything
Took it out last night for a good ride. Air has been cold down here. Low 40s at night. Car seems to be running well. Lets hope it stays that way
Hell Yeah!!!!
Well it fell victim to the stuck pressure relief valve in the oil pump. Had ZERO oil pressure when I went to start it. Took it apart yesterday and found the problem. Also looks like the guy used my old oil pump. I drained the oil and there wasn't any metal on the plug or in the oil.
All fixed. Put in a stock pump and it has great pressure again
Wow glad to here its all good.
So am I!!
I expect cash payment for info.
Who the hell would use a pump over from a bearing smoked motor? Friggin Floridians.. |
haha that's a nice scare... glad its running well now.

I was kind of like wtf when I saw the old pump. I looked at the pressure relief valve and it had some wear on it. Probably why it got hung up. |
