Alex you would love a converter and shift kit. It really makes it a lot more fun to drive daily and still comfortable. Maybe not now, but its a suggestion for a future mod. I don't know how much it would be to have done but a converter is ~800-900 for a good quality one and I did a trans go shift kit for ~100. But then you need fluid and filter, cooler, new seals, and retune so it would add up.

I go back and forth on that a lot, I'm sure a converter would be fun but bottom line I'd rather have a six speed.

That's what I mean, the stock converter is so boring it makes you want a T56 swap. Its a tough decision to do converter or T56, but I chose converter and I'm happy. T56 is fun too but I don't want to hack my car up for the small difference in fun factor, plus less broken parts.

But my next project car will probably be T56 lol.

Haha you think that SS3600 isn't going to break shit?

KLAB 12-28-2013 05:36 PM

yes. at least not as much as T56. there's not as much drive train impulse like when you drop the clutch in a stick. I have an aluminum drive shaft too. :klab:
