Progress is definitely being made, just not always apparently forward. Once the door skins are on and alignment is complete, the body work will begin. |
gee reminds me of my build lol.
I think the door skins were the only thing that survived lol. But the end product will be well worth the wait and expense!!!!! |

Jeff, In the April 2011 "Muscle Machines" page 8, there is a column with the writer thinking about painting his 67 Camaro Grenada Gold. I am looking forward to seeing yours after its painted!!!
For my kid, for college, when he was a baby I opened up a CHET 529 and every year around tax refund time I put a little money in. Hopefully when he is ready for college, technical institue, culinary institute or whatever I won't have to drain everything to pay for school. And if he doesn't go, I will be getting a 2021 Lingenfelter Camaro!!! |

No updates yet Dawg....hopefully panels start going back on next week and I'll post up pics.

On a sad note not related to this we had a 69 camaro burn yesterday in our town! Engine fire I believe. I know who owns the car so I'll find out what I can.
Sorry to hijack David! |

Heard about it yesterday. I think it was another project car for him. He has a nasty 68 that a lot of people here saw down at Don'd dyno day last year. Like I said I'll see what I can find out. I do know it was a convertible.

Lemans blue with white stripes is also my favorite first gen combo:Drool:
Hope everything is going well with your resto, can't wait to see more updates |

white pearl would look real nice
but white is hard to keep clean. and there isnt many white camaros out there . So other than keepin it clean its a win win situation no matter how ya look at it!!! |
Awesome Man!!!! cars coming along Nicely!! and Great color choice!!!!
|
Damn look at all that shiny new sheet metal! Awesome!
Personally i am still a sucker for the blue but the white with black stripes looks good too, car will look amazing regardless. You must be getting pretty wound up now LOL |
Sucks to redo the whole thing but that car is gonna be the mintest 1st gen around! Also love white on them. I hope to one day have a ss z11 but we shall see if that ever happens lol.

Never looks filthy till it's COVERED in dirt, it's not really that hard to keep clean, MUCH MUCH better than black or dark blue....:ahhhhhhh: Since I doubt this car would be a daily driver it shouldn't get that dirty, and therefore will ALWAYS look clean, plus I think it would really stand out in white:la2: |
Lighter the color more it hides silver is the best black is the worst
|
the car is coming out real good, the color white would look great on 1st gen.
|
any updates David?????

David-
I was at the shop on Tuesday and took a peek at your car. The car looks great! Remind me that I have a set of NOS correct 69 'domed' style GM trunk lid bumpers for you (yes, free stuff!). I also have a brand new set of gas tank straps from HBC that you can have for a small donation if you are interested. -Jeff |

Are your old door panels going back in? I have a new PUI set but reviews on the PUI stuff is mixed. I just bought another set from TMI Products (they are just starting to release them) that is supposed to be great so I will be selling the PUI set cheap. David |
^^Thanks for the offer, but I have a deluxe interior. I have a set of really nice original GM door panels that have been re-dyed and are all ready for installation. Actually, my entire interior is restored and sitting on shelves in my rec room. Only thing left is to re-dye the dash pad & pillar moldings sometime this summer.

Things are going back together. Rocker panels, roof, etc....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o/DSCN0501.jpg The engine was cleaned up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o/DSCN0502.jpg ....but the subframe still needs some cleaning and patching. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o/Dscn0481.jpg |
