There's a reason I went 396 with a 6 inch connecting rod. I know its lt1 but the rs angle on even a classic sbc 383 is terrible. Reason they make more torque at lower rpm but not much more up top hp over a 350 ci.

Yes, with a turbo. We now we are on limited time on it.
It's just not an ideal stroke/bore to make power with. Alot of piston rock. This is the reason you don't see too many 383's out there.

ya the 4" bore is much better for boost and will last a lot longer than the 3.6 or whatever the 383 has. Not to mention A LOT cheaper! i bought two lq4's for nothing compared to a 383

If one was to bore and stroke a 350 what would you say is the ideal cubes/ bore and stroke?
