I'm trying! Honestly I want this thing to be show quality so I want to fix every little thing that's wrong with these cars. All in due time. I think I've seen to many clapped out LT1 cars to want to fall under that category

I am redoing an Lt1 car too with the wants to make her show quality (4 years so far). We should compare notes, save us both some time and money.

So I've cycled through the old gas and it runs a bit better now but quite honestly I think I'll just put a ACDelco opti with fresh wires and a water pump for the peace of mind. The cars 20 years old and I doubt its been replaced. It also needs exhaust...bad. Its basically open header lol. But with these nittos it drives so much better than my 10 spokes. Still going to focus on my suspension this winter but just figured I'd try to keep this thread as updated as possible.

Looking good. Why are you changing the opti? If there's noting wrong with it besides maybe needing a cap and rotor possibly needing wires and spark plugs. The opti portion of the distributor really never goes bad as long as there's no oil inside and it's clean of birt. Just don't want to see you waste your money on something that works. The new opti's are pricey.

Yeah I've considered it but I honestly don't want to take it apart twice if that doesn't solve it.
