T56 junk box gets caught between 1st and 3rd
 

on the 2-3 shift the shifter gets caught between 1st and 3rd like the shift lever is catching on the guide plate. stupidest fucking thing! anyone heard of this, i really hate these damn t56s.

usually when they need a rebuild its when they get locked in 4th.... never heard of that before

i replaced mine a few years back at 25k miles:lightingzapA:

how many miles re on that tranny? Was it worked hard?

I'd say the 3 and 4 shift fork is bent mine lost 3rd and it was the fork and 3rd synchro

Sounds to me like it is a beat transmission, rebuild

Pretty sure he actually just rebuilt it, or at least made major repairs

no this tranny was rebuilt by the guy he bought it off of..its actually an LT1 T56. its not losing 3rd gear..it has no problem goin into it but its getting stuck in between the gates and its technically in neutral when its doing that so something odd is going on..we'll find out when we take it out i guess lol
