Amen!
So i blasted thru the ice yesterday, its like amile drive down the beach to the grant. Thought i was gonna break the tundra a few times, or bury it in the slush & soft sand mix, i just didnt let it go below 25mph lol, off for another fun ride down ther now! |
Dead thread but il update any ways. The ice screwed me sideways, w/ no lube. The oysters sit off the ground in cages up on rebar racks. The ice grabbed those racks and mangled them all up into 3 dif giant balls ~6' high, 4'wide & 25' long and littered cages across a half mile stretch. Had to get the racks off 1st b4 they messed up surrounding grants. & GL untangling the rebar so I`d tie 1 ball up & drag em down the beach, threading the needle between ice bergs taller than the tundra. I had a buddy on the beach w/ a stihl chop saw cuttin them up, let him keep the ~2k lbs of steel 2 scrap 4 helpin. Wat a cluster ****. Dont think il be able to get back out ther for awhile too as this westerly plugged up this whole town solid w/ bulldozer bergs after the tide changed & wind picked up. So whos got sum dynamite I can borrow?
|
Yep. Totally f***ed. The ice back off @ low tide 2day so made it back out again 2day. The ice mangled the rebar racks the oyster grow bags sit on. Towed 3 massive balls off the size of the truck. Had my friend on the beach butchering the rebar w/ his stihl chop saw & let him scrape the 2k-3k lbs of steel 4 helping me. Took a big hit. Tide changed, wind changed & this whole town is now plugged up w/ 5-6ft tall ice bergs. Givin west winds for a while. These bull dozers will **** up w/e WAS still good. Gonna take more hits. F ME SIDE WAYS!

Did you want pix of the mess? Il see whats left of other peoples mess 2moro, the damage I was dealing with was nothing compared w/ sum ppl down the beach from me. One guy tried tieing down all his stuff to big augers, all that did was make EVERYTHING ball up w/ $50k in oysters tangled up inside. My buddys dad has been making sum good money w/ his chop saw + the scrap value. Im always taking pics but just of stuff I think will sell, il hafta see whats left on the beach tomorrow, I know the wind blew almost all of the icebergs out of the harbor tho. Thank god.
