Dyno graph

Buddy of mine finally got his car on the rollers in class. Car is a 2000 SS M6, Hooker headers, ORY, SLP catback, SLP lid etc. Bolt on car. Car made some pretty good #'s for what it has done really. What do you guys think? Car has never been dyno tuned either only a cheap SCT tuner, more in it?

My84Z 04-09-2011 06:20 AM

Either he has a cam or that dyno isn't calibrated correctly n2m i don't think i have seen an m6 with more torque the hp on an ls1

84ta406 04-09-2011 06:23 AM

No cam, the mustang right after him put down the correct #'s for the mods though. I know the car has a LS6 intake as well, heads are 241's.. Maybe because of the dynojet?

My84Z 04-09-2011 06:25 AM

Somethings missing or they are messing with settings to push there work. Does he have every bolt on a short belt etc.... Maybe 1.8 rockers?

My84Z 04-09-2011 06:25 AM

Rarely have i seen 350's from bolt ons.

84ta406 04-09-2011 06:27 AM

No work, this was done on the dyno at school so he can get a baseline. I think hes got pretty much every bolt on minus the SLP underdrive pulley hes putting on. No rockers done.

My84Z 04-09-2011 06:32 AM

Electric water pump? Not even a pulley? Numbers are off

My84Z 04-09-2011 06:34 AM

Either way it doesn't matter it is just a tuning tool tell him take it to the track he should trap 115-117ish with those numbers pending on traction

black heartbeat 04-09-2011 06:38 AM

seems unusually high

84ta406 04-09-2011 06:39 AM

Track opens up next weekend down here so we'll see. No electric pump. I thought they were a little high, hence why I posted. Didnt Maddie's car hit 350 with bolt ons on the Mustang dyno?

DemonWithin99 04-09-2011 12:42 PM

I'm no expert but I too have never seen full exhaust dyno #'s that high. that programmer must be pushing it to the limits of unsafe somewhere.? unless it has a mild cam and he just doesn't know about it.

Formula413 04-09-2011 02:29 PM

+1 on something being fishy. Unless it is an extreme factory freak and made like 330 rwhp stock.

84ta406 04-09-2011 03:04 PM

I hear ya guys, I thought they were high. IIRC he said with just the catback it made 326rwhp? I dunno, just curious, since my dad wants to start modding his WS6

84ta406 04-09-2011 04:12 PM

Video from that run:

ILuvPizzaTimes10 04-09-2011 09:03 PM

are all his dyno numbers on the Same dyno? if so he fudges the correction and DA to make it read higher. that car is impossibly high for rwhp. just my guess.

*LS1* Queen 04-09-2011 09:58 PM

ya those numbers dont sound right at all

84ta406 04-09-2011 11:15 PM

Not the same dyno, but after 4 runs lastnight all his #'s were withing 5hp of each other. I know it seems high, which is why I posted it.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 04-10-2011 03:13 AM

im gunna go with "its a miracle drug lose 500 pounds over night".......

results not typical.......

c4boom 04-10-2011 03:38 AM

Tell him to bring that bitch to dyno day and bet don the cost of the run it makes over 360 rwhp

84ta406 04-10-2011 03:55 AM

Yeah right, thats like a 10 hr ride one way! lol

COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!

84ta406 04-10-2011 04:21 PM

Screw that, I dont even like the ride home which is about 7.5-8 hours, I have multiple dynos 1.2 miles away at my disposal. I told them to use the Superflow dyno.. lol

My84Z 04-10-2011 05:00 PM

Take it to the track

SLP IROC-Z 04-10-2011 05:13 PM

look at the correction factor

he doesnt show up to meets when hes home. you think hes gonna now lol

SLP IROC-Z 04-10-2011 06:56 PM

correction factor is 1.05 so the actual numbers were 95% less than 369hp, which comes out to 350. take into consideration its a dyno jet and that puts the car right where it should be, 335-340rwhp

agreed. i bet that shiitbox ls1 would barely make it into the 12's with his 360+rwhp hah!

84ta406 06-20-2011 07:41 PM

UPDATE

He took it to the track, couldnt 60ft for his life and ran horrible, but it had a 118mph trap speed..

My84Z 06-20-2011 10:40 PM

With a bad 60 that means he is trapping 115 ish hooking i made 4

My84Z 06-20-2011 10:41 PM

00 rqhp and trapped high 117 118 on a 3000 da day

smokinss 06-21-2011 12:15 AM

yeah that thing has to be cammed. to be trapping 118.

My84Z 06-21-2011 12:17 AM

That or some 5.3 heads and rockers etc.

84ta406 06-21-2011 12:45 AM

Still has the stock 241 or 243 heads or w/e they are. He bought it totally stock from a older guy. I dunno. Factory freak maybe? I didnt believe it until I saw the trap speed.

No cam other than stock unless its small enough to not be noticable?
