Dyno graph
Buddy of mine finally got his car on the rollers in class. Car is a 2000 SS M6, Hooker headers, ORY, SLP catback, SLP lid etc. Bolt on car. Car made some pretty good #'s for what it has done really. What do you guys think? Car has never been dyno tuned either only a cheap SCT tuner, more in it?

Either he has a cam or that dyno isn't calibrated correctly n2m i don't think i have seen an m6 with more torque the hp on an ls1
No cam, the mustang right after him put down the correct #'s for the mods though. I know the car has a LS6 intake as well, heads are 241's.. Maybe because of the dynojet?
Somethings missing or they are messing with settings to push there work. Does he have every bolt on a short belt etc.... Maybe 1.8 rockers?
Rarely have i seen 350's from bolt ons.
No work, this was done on the dyno at school so he can get a baseline. I think hes got pretty much every bolt on minus the SLP underdrive pulley hes putting on. No rockers done.
Electric water pump? Not even a pulley? Numbers are off
Either way it doesn't matter it is just a tuning tool tell him take it to the track he should trap 115-117ish with those numbers pending on traction
seems unusually high
Track opens up next weekend down here so we'll see. No electric pump. I thought they were a little high, hence why I posted. Didnt Maddie's car hit 350 with bolt ons on the Mustang dyno?
I'm no expert but I too have never seen full exhaust dyno #'s that high. that programmer must be pushing it to the limits of unsafe somewhere.? unless it has a mild cam and he just doesn't know about it.
+1 on something being fishy. Unless it is an extreme factory freak and made like 330 rwhp stock.
I hear ya guys, I thought they were high. IIRC he said with just the catback it made 326rwhp? I dunno, just curious, since my dad wants to start modding his WS6
are all his dyno numbers on the Same dyno? if so he fudges the correction and DA to make it read higher. that car is impossibly high for rwhp. just my guess.
ya those numbers dont sound right at all
Not the same dyno, but after 4 runs lastnight all his #'s were withing 5hp of each other. I know it seems high, which is why I posted it.
im gunna go with "its a miracle drug lose 500 pounds over night".......
results not typical....... |
Tell him to bring that bitch to dyno day and bet don the cost of the run it makes over 360 rwhp
Yeah right, thats like a 10 hr ride one way! lol

Screw that, I dont even like the ride home which is about 7.5-8 hours, I have multiple dynos 1.2 miles away at my disposal. I told them to use the Superflow dyno.. lol
Take it to the track
look at the correction factor

correction factor is 1.05 so the actual numbers were 95% less than 369hp, which comes out to 350. take into consideration its a dyno jet and that puts the car right where it should be, 335-340rwhp

lol its ok

UPDATE
He took it to the track, couldnt 60ft for his life and ran horrible, but it had a 118mph trap speed.. |
With a bad 60 that means he is trapping 115 ish hooking i made 4
00 rqhp and trapped high 117 118 on a 3000 da day
yeah that thing has to be cammed. to be trapping 118.
That or some 5.3 heads and rockers etc.
Still has the stock 241 or 243 heads or w/e they are. He bought it totally stock from a older guy. I dunno. Factory freak maybe? I didnt believe it until I saw the trap speed.
No cam other than stock unless its small enough to not be noticable? |
