Getting sick of getting cars from other shops to fix.

Would also figure since Ls's have been around so long that people would do ok tuning them. I'm getting the idea that the tunes are getting worse up here in the North East. Lately I've seen better tunes from owners buying tuning software and doing it themselves than most of the major shops up here.

Why can't I get all these jobs before the owners get bent at these other shops?:ahhhhhhh:

Anyone I find with an fbody gets my opinion forced on them, whether they want it or not. Slowhawk tune, anything less is fail

Unfortunately us guys with lts are fucked unless we have a EFI 24x system and kneepads lol

go buy the tuning software and hook up your friends for cheaper. you make your money back and give your LT1 friends a break. IIRC HP Tuners is like 500-600 and figure Don charges what 150-200 per hour to tune? (correct me if im wrong) so you invest $800 at most, everytime someone wants to tune their car charge them $100-200 to use your tuner, have Don do the tune. they made out and you make out.

and also IIRC it doesnt lock the tuner. so you should be able to use it on any car...i know thats how the GTP guys do.

next one that comes to you from a few other shops just ask the owner if he's a winner?

Its not that don cant tune the lt1s its just they suck to tune and takes way longer than a ls

Exactly don can tune them if you have the software BUT don hates lt1 as any sane person would

Don does good work, naturally everyone is going to want to use him for tuning. I used to call it the curse of competence. When you're the one that knows how to do stuff without screwing it up all the work gets dumped on you. I bet most people here have had a job where they are that guy (or girl).

What happens is, We fix the car and then the existing shop takes credit for the build because they hacked it together first.

And yes, I really don't want the cars after the other shops. Got enough of our own work to do.

Yeah but look at it this way someone hacks a car and hurts the motor customer drives it for a month Don get's it starts tuning it and either it blows up on the final tuning day or when the customer gets the car back. Would u beliece the first shop did the damage cause it ran for a month fine.... No u would blame Don when it isn't his fault. Plus it's always harder to figure out wtf others did rather then just do it right.

It is nice to be super busy. On the other hand I wouldn't mind dead. We've been looking at houses in the south to move to. A dead shop will give the motivation to shut down and move.

your shop used to be 10 mins away from me when you were at Dez...ive still supported your move to much like Johns a whole 40-45 mins away. unless your moving closer i cannot approve
