spinoff: What do you get for mpg?
 

Seemed like everyone had something to mention about their gas mileage in Pizza's new toy thread. So here's a spinoff, what do you guys get for gas mileage?

The most I got in my S^TURN SL1 was 37mpg.

Camaro around 23mpg.

I fear the effects of swapping from 2.73's to 3.42's though....

5 speed 2000 sl1 saturn, I went to Maine to visit my brother and its a 250 mile drive. When I got there and filled back up I figured out I was getting close to 42 mpg. My 96 civic dx 1.6l got low 30s before the tune up, the plugs were GARBAGE. If they are still in the trash ill take a pic. I'm surprised the car even ran.

And Id say I get high teens in the camaro. I dont drive it very gingerly. lol

Same car I got. its getting 37 with about 170k on it. I want to try to get it up to almost 40!!! I have a bad alignment bad cv joint bad wheel bearing and other stuff tho too so if I fix that stuff should go up lol.

Camaro 17.5 around town and 21.5 HWY ...A4 with 3.73

Best I can get in the Formula is 23mpg driving almost all highway. City/cruising around is 14-17mpg, overall average is right around 20mpg. A4 with 3:23s, pretty much stock.

The Civic: worst tank was 38mpg, best was 58mpg.

Holy hell, 58! I thought I had so good gas mileage with mid 40s in my saturn lol

Mid 40s is great gas mileage :)

in my truck 17-18 avg with alot of city. 20+ highway.

the camaro seems to get 20 average with mixed driving. 25-26 highway.

in the SS Iam about 17 or so around town. M6 with 4.11s

The saturn which was mostly highway I was getting low to mid 30s

07 dmax 15 mpgs towing a camaro highway...lol thats the only time i really checked it

The T/A got about 20 in town and about 27 highway with the newer engine, The best the Cruze has done is 38 in town and just did a jaunt to Hartford and back and got 51.3 (no traffic though, been averaging 47 highway).

The Cobalts gets around 24/25 around town, Best I got on the hwy was almost 35.

The Monte gets 18 around town and 20/22 on the higway when I can keep my foot out of it! lol Going to Fla last year I got 24.2 as my best tank.

sounds pretty decent for a truck towing a car

02 avy 10 around town so far about 14-15 highway
98 bird 14-16 around town not beating on it, beating on it like 8. highway a best of 23mpg. average id say ~20.

Camaro- complete crap.

I get 16.0 in the Jeep in mixed driving, which for me is mostly highway.

In the same driving, the Bird has been getting right around 22-ish. Last tank was 21.5, tank before that was 22.0.

Kind of annoying, it used to get 23.5 consitantly, then I went from Michelins to Nittos last year, and lost a mpg to normally avg 22.5, and now I seem to have lost a little more over the winter.

D'oh!

And this is with 2.73's...I really want to do the 3.42 swap, but don't feel like taking the mileage hit anymore. I drive about 350 miles a week, and am spending $75 a week on gas as it is.

Yea same here i hate my stock gears, Thats why i picked up my civic. its amazing how much gas they dont need...i feel like im starving the poor thing.

17/18 city 21-23 highway and i dont baby it :)

Funny. everyone bashed me for getting the Avy. SUCH BAD MILAGE! fuck i get what seems to be the average in here as far as trucks go. Fuck Off!!!!

average about 15 in the chicken. a4 373s. i dont really drive it unless im driving hard though. every onramp has the go pedal welded to the floor.

93 f350 m4 with an overdrive 4x4 diesel dually crew cab 8 ft bed averages about 18 suprisingly. especially considering my foot is pretty much always on the floor its so damn slow! it demolishes the gauge on the highway

i get about 29mpg on the highway. if i baby it, around 20 in the city, but lately ive had a heavy foot and getting about 17 combined lol

Don't keep track of city, don't want to know. Highway numbers...
99 wrangler was 15 mpg, currently about 5 mpg on our dc trip with how it was running

91 ext cab full size 3/4 ton chevy 17 on our run to NYC a couple weeks ago

And the wrx, best was 27 mpg on our last trip.
