Centerfolds car show
 

Ok, so, we've been having a monthly bike night at work the past couple months and it's been having a decent turn out.
The past few years we've had an annual car show, so, I asked my manager last night when we were doing it this year. He told me we are not going to bother for a lot of various reasons, mainly it wasn't cost effective enough.

So, long story short, I offered to take it over. He's game as long as it doesn't wind up costing the club thousands like the last couple have.

Basically, what I'm wondering, is would anyone be interested in helping me run the show when I do it? Looking to do sort of a "Centerfolds 2000 presents, in association with north east f-body" car show.

Looking to probably do a once a month sort of cruise in type thing, alternating every othe week with the bike night. So, bike night, week off, car night, week off, bike night, etc...

Basically, just lookig for help parking and general mundane stuff the day of. In return you'll get in for free, and get to hang out with pretty girls all day.

Probably looking to do the first one sometime end of July beginning of august. Any interest in the club getting into this with me or should I ask elsewhere?

Just need to talk to my manager and sort out a few more details.
Either gonna be just a small cruise night type thing on a Tuesday night or a slightly larger and longer Sunday event I'm thinking.
I'm leaning more towards the Sunday thing if he wants to charge admission and make a show out of it. Hard to do that if it's only goig to be three hours on a Tuesday night.
He just doesn't want it to be a big expense but if it's not going to cost the club anything and I handle most of the staffing I'm pretty sure I can do whatever I want.

And before anybody says it, the show itself will be all ages.
You jus need to be 21 to get inside the club ;)

Oh, one more thing, who disliked it and why can we see who likes or dislikes our posts lol?

Ok, talked about it some more tonight and it's looking like we're going to plan on doing it on a Sunday so we can make an event out of it.
Going to plan one for now and see how it goes. Tentatively thinking the end of July beginning of august right now but I'll try and nail down an exact date sometime this weekend.

Ok, need to iron out the details with management but right now I'm thinking one of these three dates, all sundays
July 31
August 7
August 14

Anything conflict with any of those dates I'm missing? Want to try and nail down a date in the next week or so so I can get planning. My manager is very into the idea so I want to make it as good as last years without the excessive fluff.

ill be gone the last week of july so provided you dont need anything from me trophy wise it sounds good...id love to come shoot at one of these events. Pending approval of course. id even be willing to hand over the photos for free to the club for their website. just sayin

Midnight, yes I am going to you for the trophies. I'll make sure to try and have all of that finalized early July then to give you time to make them up before you go away.
As far as photographing in all honesty that would be awesome. I've pretty much been given free reign to do whatever I want and get whoever for whatever so you'd be all set. If you can manage to find a way to be back that day come on down lol. ;)
My biggest issue right now is finding pics from past shows to get a flyer made up. Going to dig for another day or so and either settle on whatever pics I can find or just go do a quick shoot myself for it.

I'm pretty sure I got my camera's issues ironed out so I should be able to take pictures.

I also have some pics from last year, I will email them to you.

Not sure though if I remember any good shots with any of the girls in there to make it worth the effort. Need a good pic or two of girls with cars and I'd rather not use some random Internet girl.
Either that or I found a good shot from a couple years ago but I don't like the truck shes in front of. How good are you with photoshop maddie? Would it be a gigantic pain to put her in front of another car lol?
Don't want to be a giant pain though if that sucks to do. I'll just take new ones.

Unfortunately not, I'm in Maine and won't be back until Friday night. Any other time I would gladly help you out.

My camera is nothing special but it's a lot better than a phone, plus I have a polarizing filter which produces much sharper colors.

As for the pics I have, I just ran out of time this morning, Yahoo glitched out in the middle of uploading them and my internet at home is fucked up and running at about 1/5 normal speed so I didn't have time to put them on Photobucket and/or keep fighting with Yahoo. I made it to my motel 15 minutes before the office closed as it was. In hindsight I should have put them on a thumb drive and uploaded them from up here, but I was rushing and pissed off and not thinking clearly :sFun_explosive: If it helps you at all I can definitely get them to you this weekend, and I could still help with pics once I'm back.

i can attempt it...ive done a few diff cutout things but it can get tricky

if all goes planned we will be leaving pittsburgh early that morning and its a 10 hour drive home...i may have time to make it, we'll see lol
