Help, please keep your eyes/ears open for me!
Well, got a phone call this morning from my friend/landlord at home while we were at the garage. Apparently somebody stole the zo6 wheels and zo6 front calipers off our turd gen.
Just asking everyone to please keep it in mind if they hear of any for sale. They'll be able to be told apart by the rear tires, both were mounted facing the same direction by the dumb ass at the tire barn. So, when bolted on the drivers side runs backwards. And, the center caps are base vette centers, not zo6 so the color is a shade off and the logo isn't red. I know it's a long shot but I figure it's worth mentioning. And, to add insult to injury, they cut the hoses when they took the calipers. Then, when they dropped the car down they dumped it on a couple tires and tore one of the front 91/92 specific gfx. Dented in the drivers side fender, and somehow bent the side of the hood out so now it's on top of the fender and won't close. So, needless to say, any leads are much appreciated. Thanks guys :( |

WOW WHAT FUCKS!!! If I see the wheels I'm stealing them back without a doubt!! Epic klabz28 Lawrence MA hood style Honda Parts heist going down. Thats terrible that car was a great project start...

goin' fishin'
See what I can find with this: http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/pts/2691514854.html :klab: |
Perfect klab thank you! I was thinking about doing something like that but if they saw the ad for the car on craigslist my contact info would be a dead give away. Let me know if you come up with anything.
And yes, if I find them, I'll get them back. Wouldn't be the first time. I have stories, but not anything I'll post. I don't take kindly to my shit being stolen. ;) Thank you everybody for keeping an eye out. On another note, it's killing me to see the car like this so it's time to either strip it, dump it cheap, or fix it up. I'm thinking the 5.3 sitting here at the shop we got for the jeep will be perfect in it. I want this car back if we're keeping it around. I'd much rather cruise it than the flaming turd lol. |
Sorry to hear Matt! Good luck getting them back!
|

Had a guy call and said he had a set of 17/18 staggered OEM C5 Z05's dark grey with tires. He is from Lowell tho, and said they came off his Blazer, one wheel has curb rash? I told him to email pics. I have a feeling I'm about to disappoint a bunch of people looking to sell their wheels lollol
|
Lol, hell if you find a good deal on a set let me know. Not sure if I wan the same or something different now.
Mine were a staggered set. There was rash but had been repaired to the point where it wasn't noticeable. The fronts were iirc Yokohama es100's 275/40/17 in good shape and the rears were 275/35/18's that were pretty beat. I forget what type but one mounted backwards is the key there if they still have the same tires. And thank you everybody for keeping an eye out. I know it's a longshot but if you have enough people watching out for you you just never know. |
Yeah KLAB Thats a badass idea!!!!
|
Holy shit KLab, thats a genius move.
But yea, a bunch of people are gonna be pissed lol Quote:
