New Job in CT?

The boys in Hartford are getting new airplanes (sadly not till 2011) and yours truly has been put on the list of possibles to help them get on their feet in the cargo world. Very cool little airplane, what do you think?

Batman 12-09-2009 04:21 AM

Yeah cargo planes shouldn't be able to do that, very cool though

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-09-2009 05:06 AM

Thats Fuckin Bad Asss!!!! now whats the cargo limit on these?? anything like the C130's?

Batman 12-09-2009 10:53 AM

it is just about exactly 1/2 a C-130, it is a little tiny thing, 25,353 pounds is the cargo limit. It is a special forces/close air support aircraft. Now supposedly there is also going to be an AC-27 Gunship too.......hmmmmm

DAWG 12-09-2009 02:10 PM

rather have the c-130 herc.
being a loadmaster myself on c-130s and c-2s im partial to those.
and isnt that made overseas?

ls6monte 12-09-2009 05:31 PM

Kool! They kind of look like the old C-160 Transall's. Sort of a baby Hercules!

Designed by a European company but will be built in Florida, The Herc is great but they aren't hiring right now in the ANG. I won't leave the C-5 unless they kill it or I get a full time slot somewhere else

Alot of it's parts are taken right off the C-130J , it is pretty much 1/2 a Herc. The avionics are all from the J model, the engines, alot of the cargo stuff, all off the J-model 130

DAWG 12-09-2009 10:29 PM

So this is at Bradley right? They fly the military business jets right now, C-41 I think? This thing looks pretty interesting, I don't think I've ever seen one before.
