New goodies are coming!!!

Well Iam not on here to much but figured I would post up letting everyone know whats going on. Iam keeping the car a six speed since it seems that no one wants my setup. I ended up getting a killer bonus from my work, so Iam dropping the trans off on wednesday to have it gone through. Ive already put in the new clutch master cylinder and Iam just waiting for a little more money so I can buy a Monster stg 3. To be honset Ive never dropped a trans myself and it was actually pretty easy. Here are a couple of pics of the trans and LS7 clutch. Enjoy!!!

I wonder if you're having issues because of the LS7 clutch? Sounds like you're making good progress anyways.

RUN IT TILL IT BLOWS. LOL

Iam thinking Iam having trouble selling it because of the the clutch and the tranny needs 2nd gear looked at.

Batman 12-13-2009 11:33 PM

Yeah was the slave shimmed on the LS7 clutch? if not that could be your issue

My84Z 12-14-2009 12:02 AM

No it wasnt, but from what Don has told me the LS7 clutch always seems to do this, but it seems that there are guys having good luck with them. Eaither way Iam not going to risk it and Iam going with a Monster and new hydros for it.

And Jon, yes it feels freaking awsome. Things are finally starting to come togeather for me down here. Between having a huge house and finding a good career in this economey I am really lucky.

Batman 12-14-2009 12:31 AM

Yeah I would too, I just got my monster Stage III, going to put it in sometime soon, but normally the slave spacer helps the LS7 clutch out alot

ls6monte 12-14-2009 03:34 AM

Kool Justin! Glad to see things are coming along for you.

c4boom 12-14-2009 04:08 AM

i would love to hear how you guys like that stg 3 because thats what i want to put in mine

My84Z 12-14-2009 04:14 AM

Awesome Justin good to hear man! I suggest you put a blow shield on there while it is out. I know the price sucks but with the jug I wouldn't want a clutch going boom. That is my plan this year a quick time bell houseing and a new clutch but I think I am gonna go back to a mcleoud and will never get a spec again

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-14-2009 04:25 AM

AWESOMEEEE JUSTINNN!!!! glad its all working out for yah!!! i told yah it would be easy squeezy!! haha And why dont you like the Spec John? i Love mine But its the LT1 figured they would engineer them similar atleast in feel.

My84Z 12-14-2009 04:28 AM

My first spec 4 lasted lik 3-4k miles my second has a balance vibration. my mcleoud lasted me 30k+ and alot worst beatings.

DemonWithin99 12-14-2009 07:45 AM

Good shit Smoke's Guess this means you won't be handing in yer balls and selling it....?

smokinss 12-14-2009 11:22 PM

Nope not selling it. And yeah as far as spec goes I blew through one in about a year. So no spec for me.

My84Z 12-15-2009 01:04 AM

still think about the bell housing though bro

That's cause you need HP to break them....I hate Spec with a passion. I had 2 one wore out in 5K, the other melted at 1500 Miles

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-15-2009 01:36 AM

Always with the HP stabbs Shut the Fuck UPPP Mr. i cant drive my car with an auto!!

c4boom 12-15-2009 04:51 AM

HP!!!! The clutch doesn't deal with hp it transfers torque and mike has way to much of that as it is LOL

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-15-2009 07:20 AM

Ohh No Boomer i need more HP to be cool like Little man Batty over there...... ASSSS

DemonWithin99 12-15-2009 08:41 AM

Is there a paint that will hold up for any length of time on the exhaust?

never long enough hahaha

smokinss 12-24-2009 12:02 PM

It should last a decent amount of time considering the car only comes out in nice weather and doesnt see any salt. I used a new high heat primer and high heat paint from Rustoleum.
