Hey man ill take a 2.97 first gear over a 2.66 first gear anyday.
only if you have real strong mid and low range like you said the other night the drop will kill a peaky motor. I still think that it would be fun to launch off of though
yeah not fun with 4.10's like having 4.56's on a 2.66 first 94+ tranny. But if its geared correctly your better off for an LT1 that is. low rpm torque numbers.
wow I'm still looking to score me a 93 T56 and all the parts to swap mine from A4 to M6 >.< lucky bastard.

you miss understood what i sed. the 1993 tranny had 2 options. they had a GU2 car that had a 3.36 first gear in the T56 and 2.73's. and My car that had the G92 package 3.23's out back and a 2.97 first gear. Now in 1994 they optioned to have 3.42's out back Wich were Not an option in 1993. and wen they did that they lowered the first gear from then on to 2.66. And 4.10's on a 2.66 feels like 3.73's in my car. i went with 4.10's cuz at the time i had no idea my year was different and it would have ran better if i went 3.73's. Sorry to Highjack But i figured it was some good info to pass on. Maybe ill make a tech thread about it. if anyone cares. |

YUP I AGREE

penis
Now i feel bad Joe Sorry Buddy you can have the 3.8 A4 out of the Bird.....
I think we should make it a goal to find joe a cheap 6.0 for his car
i agree!!! but then he needs harness and such as well
rather get a Van out of the junkyard with a 6.0 and buy the whole truck and use the harness and do a swap. probably could get a high milage runner for under 1000 bux. |
i was thinking carbed with ignition controller but that would work too
