My bro got a new car.

2012 Infiniti g37x 7 speed Auto, 330 hp 275ish TQ. Very comfortable, has a stiffer ride than expected which is a plus, Awesome highway cruiser but it also handles pretty damn well.

He thought his car was faster than mine

I waited until he put 1000 miles it and then we made two quick runs.

First one was a roll from 35, i was in 2nd he was in automatic mode. 3 beeps, i let him take the hit and immediately pull about 2-3 cars on him by the end of my gear. He let off and wants a re-do.

Second race was from a 10 mph roll. I was in First he was in tiptronic mode in 1st. I give him a two second head start and go. I shut it down around 100 and look back and he is 3-4 cars behind me. He has a new respect for my stock ls1 :tool:

lol that fancy maxima is a nice ride, my father in-law just picked up a G37xs loaded not at all designed for power to be put to the ground because of those damn transmissions. still a nice car though.

LSX-Nation 08-26-2012 04:08 PM

Don't they have different engines and transmissions?

I see your repping your NEFBA shirt in the first pic haha

Nope all Nissan motors. 3.5l v6 or could be a 3.8l but pretty sure most of the infinity and Nissan v6's with the exception of the 4.0l in the trucks and 3.8tt in the GTR. Only difrence would be the trans. The g37xs is AWD. and may be the a6 not a7.

LSX-Nation 08-27-2012 11:46 PM

My reply was to "that fancy maxima is a nice ride". The maxima has the 3.5L VQ35DE motor and a 6 speed automatic. The g37x has a Different drive-train, it has the 3.7L VQ37VHR and it has the 7 speed automatic. I don't consider it to be a fancy maxima by any means lol

Maxima 3.5 V6 FWD
G37 3.7 V6 REAR/AWD

They ARE different cars Demon! Different chassis.
Only thing closely related are engines.

Maxima has a CVT trans and G 37 regular trans.

Get your shit correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Still a fancy Nissan... lol

Or if you prefer to suite you're age I'll say Datson.. lol

They made a lot of changes in this years lineup every vehicle they put together is very well done.

I would call my fathers lexus es 350 a fancy camry. They are exactly the same except for nicer seats!

Not a surprise the Camaro took it on a roll, from a stand still... traffic light race you might be in trouble. My understanding the g35x was better down low and sounded better but the 37 shines up top. I have driven both and felt no seat of the pants difference, both "bang for your buck" are home runs. Congrats to your bro, nice choice....

Thank you i will tell him, i wouldn't be surprised if it was a closer run from a stop since his is awd but i still wouldn't worry too much haha. They don't have that much TQ.
