Camaro Performers Magazine - RIP
It's no longer being published. On one hand they always tried to get all generations of Camaros. On the other hand, why not include Firebirds. Also, their articles always seemed to focus on aftermarket parts because thats were the $ was. $ from advertising.

So many ads and less substance is what killed them.
The same can be said of the shows on TV. they push some crappy parts for the Money. |

Same here. Got added to the super Chevy as well. Real shitty. GM high tech was my favorite magazine for a lot of years.
I know for a fact that the editor of HPP got laid off. I detailed Pontiac G8 vin number 1 with 700 miles that he owns back in May. He did a photoshoot with me doing the detail and it was going to be a feature in the magazine. I called him a month later after hearing rumors about the magazine going under. Sure enough he was laid off without warning. 8yrs out the door. And no article for me. |
^^^ That Sucks!!!! problem is the internet. why bother getting paper when i can read it on my phone or tablet or laptop any were with out the hard copy. they all should have moved over to digital copies.
|
Some people like physical magazines to read, I know I like them cause I can leave in garage and not have to worry about getting my phone greasy lol

I really have no interest in the digital versions of my magazines. I very rarely go on their websites. I'd rather have the mag in my hand while reading it which is why I also have over 850 books in my house.

I was just talking about this yesterday. Part of my whole excitement to reading a magazine is peeling my eyes away from an illuminated screen for once. I would much rather read the magazine than pull it up and read it on a tablet or something, after a while it just hurts my eyes. Also I read most of my magazines when I go up north in NH, no 4g or internet. Its nice to relax and read a magazine outdoors, pull my face out of my constant exposure to a screen all week. Until somebody invents something similar to the Kindle that displays a realistic looking color magazine, I will always perfer the hard copy over a file.
And Stacy David is a huge goof ball but he is the man. |
