Winter Upgrades/Mods
 

Who's doing what to their cars in the off season? I'm pretty happy with my car so the only thing planned for this winter is new Hoosier drag radials. I squeezed out five years on the old Mickey Thompson DR's. I need to be consistant for bracket racing so I need new tires plus the Hoosiers are like 8 or 9 pounds lighter each. So I decided to try them this time. Found a smoking Cyber Monday deal at McCormick Racing, two 275/50/15 DR's for $378 shipped. :gears:

I am still redoing the whole car but wifes car will get a return fuel system tourque arm and a few odds and ends

What kind of TA are you going with?

My car has a umi the wifes car my buddy gave me one when I bought some rins off him I can't remember the brand next time I am at the garage I will check but I think it starts with a P. It's an adjustable floor mount

I'm hoping to do a 9" rear end if the stars align properly.

Rearend. Quarter panel. Door. Fender. Repaint. Theres a long list..

Budget LT1 rebuild, forged speed pros, used LE2 heads, twin holset turbos.

Hoping to do a ported fast102, race brakes in the front, possibly a meziere ewp. Definitely doing a faceplated T56 and some other little tricks to the driveline. Goal is 11.0 next year.

Mine just got parked in the garage. Next spring it will get head lights, front rims/tires more for the street. I plan on street driving it more next year.

Unless someone buy's it. LOL

Just a gear, trans,engine,turbo and learn how to tune with the Holley Efi system all by April lol

On a serious note, I'm just going to a few simple things:

Pick out a new wheel setup
install my under drive balancer
install my sub frame connectors
do the intake manifold gasket and install ls1 injectors
freshen up the engine bay a little (its gross)
maybe pick a cam setup..

This is the first time in 11 years I don't have a major project to do on my car. Pretty happy with it at the moment. Kicking around the idea of changing out the 3.90 gears for 4:11's.

Stole these off a friends car to add to my winter upgrades. We'll see how they do this weekend at LVD with the new tires too.

I switched to a Hoosier DR because they are 9lbs a piece lighter.

Not at the moment.

I'm just going to paint a few things on the car this year. Put the springs and line lock on. Do some small things here and there. Nothing substantial this year for me. Maybe some new wheels if i'm lucky.

I pretty much got nothing done. Shop was too busy to work on my own car.

I got nothing done either. I was too busy working and doing other dum stuff.
