I'm still working on it, but it's getting closer. I picked up a HPLV sprayer to learn how to use one and to paint the outside walls.

I put in a hidden liquor cabinet behind the big picture. The only problem is that I only have blended scotch. I've got to pick up some single malt.

My first attempt at using the HPLV sprayer was not so great. Not much was coming out of the nozzle and I think the latex primer is too thick.

I'm going to try cutting it with 10% Floetrol.

Very nice Dave. I'm a hack woodworker lol, you do some nice detail work. A few years ago I bought one of those Rockler HVLP units, used it once building some bookshelves. I used water based clear polyurethane, the finish was ok, but nothing like clear lacquer which is what my father always used. I'm sure if I kept at it I'd figure out how to get a better finish but I gave up.

But I like your pub theme, especially the jukeboxes and the booth. Having been in the toy/game biz all my life my basement is populated with a couple of commercial video games, a Williams pinball, a pool table, and a 45 juke box but it's not pretty lol. It's the kind where you don't see much of the mechanism, but it works. My kids and now my grandkids have a ball down there.

Anyway... that setup of yours looks incredible. Beautiful job.

I can't take credit for the facade woodwork. There is a local woodworker who did that for me and he does beautiful work. I did the trimwork, but I usually learn by trial and error. Lots of errors. LOL. When I was doing the wallpapering, the wallpaper kept falling over and I ended up getting more glue on my head than on the wall.

I keep picking up jukeboxes and I have six of them. The Seeburg 220 45 jukebox in the picture I got when a family friend passed away. Based on the quarters that were in it, it probably did not run for 20 years. It's fun for me to fix them up.

Thanks for the compliments on the pub. At first, I was thinking of making a 50's diner since that would fit the jukeboxes better, but most 50's diner pictures look like they have a lot of plastic and coca-cola type red and white colors. They are pretty cool, but not a place I want to hang out in at night when my wife and kid are hogging the TV's and I want to relax.

What do you have for commercial video games? Are they full size arcade games?

For your 45 jukebox, who made it? Got any pictures? All jukeboxes are awesome.

The jukebox is a Rowe AMI, the type where all the selections are on cards on an angled glass covered front. Probably circa '60's lotta chrome lol. One video game is called "Cabal" I'll have to check the mfg, I think it's Taito or FabTek. it's a full size standup for two players, the other is an Atari Race-Driving, it's a sit down model with steering and foot pedals. The graphics on these two are circa 1990's so nothing like today's stuff but the kids still love them. The pinball is my pride and joy, it's a Williams Black Knight, which was the first two-level game with speech. I used to go to the coin op shows in Chicago, New Orleans, and Vegas every year when I worked for Milton Bradley/Hasbro. I have the pinball serviced every couple of years, its old school, not really solid state lol. I get a chance I'll take some pix.

My 1st guess on the jukebox is that it's a JBM Tropicana.

The Black Knight is a real cool pinball machine. I remember playing it when I was in High School.

Who services your pinball game? I have a newer pinball.....Transformers.

Like I said... not a great looking piece, but its still working although I think the selector mechanism isn't 100% reliable LOL. Here's the Black Knight and the Cabal game. Both are in nice shape. I bought the pinball used probably 35 years ago so its in decent shape. Some of the playfield graphic stickers have fallen off and are not always re-useable so I really need to use my graphic skills to make some new ones. The Black Knight was an epic machine, the first to use a 2-level field, the first to use Magna-Save... plus it was one of the first to have speech. Very collectible.

The Atari Race Drivin' I got brand new from Atari as I had some inside connections licensing some of their arcade games for Milton Bradley's Nintendo line. They had two versions IIRC, a full sit-in (too big for my basement), and this one. The game has a number of car options, automatic or stick transmissions, and Gas, Brake, and Clutch pedals as well as the trans stick. Like I said... the 3D graphics are a far cry from todays Grand Theft Auto, my the kids have a ball with it.

Not very fancy, but I have a bar. I used to be heavy into deep sea fishing and salt water tournament fishing, so for a while the bar "theme" was fishing related. Sold my boat 15 years ago and sold all the big gold Penn Internationals that used to hang from the ceiling. I need to re-theme the bar into a Muscle Car hangout!

I built the house in 1977-78, probably finished the basement in steps but I planned ahead and have a wet bar, and a full bath down there so when our extended family comes up from NJ for ski weekends... we have plenty of room, baths, and a monster playroom for the kids. Also have darts and a 7 foot pool table for the bigger types LOL.

Oh... when I need service, I've called a Coin-Operated distributor in Holyoke IIRC. Russell Hall 413-536-2124 and they send a guy out. Usually its the same guy but everything been good for about 5 years so I haven't called lately. I bought the Juke Box and the Black Knight from them in the '80's.

Very nice!!! Looks like a great place to hang out with the pool table, bar setup, pinball and video games.

The jukebox appears to be a 1970 Rowe/AMI MM-4. It looks real good.
