Hey it was fun meeting up with and hanging out with Harry and Frank on Monday... gorgeous weather, nice ride. Couldn't ask for more. Nice turnout and I've come to the conclusion that Dawg will never have enough power under that hood LOL. Car sounds like a beast now, if he puts a blown 634 BBC in there... well its going to be a street gasser!

Car looks so clean underneath. The away bat looks a little small and you definitely need sub frame connectors. Car is awesome.

Thanks Frank... the entire underside was done with a 2-part urethane as part of the restoration process. And yes... Dave Pozzi and I have been discussing sway bars and my suspension LOL. Dave suggested going with a Helwig setup up front. I had used ProForged front end components on my Lightning and he told me the "tall" PF upper balljoints were the way to go with the tubular arms. I'm going to check out Competition Engineering's sub frame connectors sooner or later as I work my way back.

Right now I have three (3) major projects underway for Fall/Winter:

1. Install my new dash insert and gauges. Hope to start tearing it apart today. Got a new dash insert from Classic Dash, have all new gauges from SpeedHut. Finished building a wire loom earlier this week so I can remove it without cutting wires. ID's all the wires, tagged them, used two Deutsch connectors.

2. Sooner or later I will get around to opening the boxes from Vintage Air and start the process of installing everything. Bought a new OER AC dash pad, kinda funny bc the pad in there is like 3 years old. Wife convinced me that AC was needed.

3. Probably tied in with the AC install will be the conversion to the RS hideaway headlights. I bought the same kit Dawg used, have to pull or loosen the PS fender to get at the heater box, and install the condenser up front. Good time to pull the grill and do the swap.

Next year? Maybe I'll start focusing on the rear end. Thinking ab a 9" Ford although if I came across a reasonably priced Chevy Nova 8.5" 10-bolt I might go with that. About 95% as strong as a 12-bolt and I don't race or beat on the car, I just want a posi rear. Probably do the frame connectors then.

Nice cars. I always like the style of Camaro SS.
