My first few passes

Car traps pretty good but cant do much with these street tires. These are my two best runs. Just going off idle.

I need to drop my 60' a lot. Any advice? i know i need better tires and suspension but what about driving technique for a better 60'?

I ran 5-6 passes that were all 13.6-13.7 @ 106-107 with a 60' of 2.2-2.4

There's only so much you can do with street tires. I see some people get 2.0 60' times with them but it takes some finesse. See if you can borrow someone's drag radials for a few passes. You'll easily go low 13's with a good launch.

Yeah a sticky tire and a good launch would help big time

Id say he could be in the 12s with a good tire and a soild launch. 1.9 60' would get him close I bet.

That car has enough trap to go 12s but it would take some abuse to get it there, might not be worth the risk for a nice street car.

Yea thats true

I'm done driving it around just to drive it. I only put 2500 miles on it this year I'm ready to start racing it. I can only go to so many car shows and see so many cars on the dyno before I can't take it anymore. I'm going to start racing and if something breaks it will just sit till it's fixed

It's all about slipping the clutch on street tires.

If you're not worried about hurting anything you can probably get that car into the 12s with some practice. First step is sticky tires. You'll have to experiment with the launch to see if you need to slip the clutch some to avoid bogging. Basically just keep your right foot to the floor from the green light to the 1320' mark and shift as fast as you can.
