Houston, we have ignition!
turns out when i put in the distributor i was 180* out. Set it back in correctly this time, put the crank about 12* BTDC, rotated the distributor to where approx. where the rotor was pointed [about 5 o'clock], poured a little bit of gas in the carb and in the float tubes, turned the key and she started. Wasnt getting any gas to the carb, i had the gas line hooked up to the smaller vent tube, switched those around, put a little more gas down the carb, started and ran it for about 15 seconds. sounded great.
Need to pick up a lower radiator hose tomorrow. still need to figure out what im gonna do for an alternator bracket to work with my short water pump and vortec heads/intake. http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/v...f/DSCF0114.jpg |
