I wanna get my car down to 3k or 3100 next season without sacrificing safety stuff like door bars.

I would assume my car is around there too. A guy on Frrax got his trans am to 2900k without light weight panels and lexsan. I plan on getting mine around 3k next year.

Dropping too much weight will throw off the springs. Better be carefull with how light you go and were the wieght is coming from.

For my application the lighter the better because the car is constantly in transition all the weight will transfer. The less weight to transfer the better the springs should have a constant rate through out the compression span. If it was to change it the car would be more stiff which would be better for it. Some people run 600-700 pound springs in there 4th gens that weigh less than 3k. Third gen guys are around 900 to 1200 for springs in the front.

Do you have any dumps or recycling places around? I know a garbage company near me where I drop off stuff all the time with our dumptruck. They have scales, see if theyll weigh your car for ya

Car weighs 3477 with a half tank of gas and the cross weight is almost 50/50. This is with full interior 17x11 and 315s on each corner.
