A New problem arises!
 

Ok, so I finally got around to getting to my brake lines and trying to replace the rear one,s....well....the are rusted shut and will not move.....at all....any ideas on getting them to come free or do I need to replace everything?

spray the me with pb blaster 2-3 times a day for a few days then go for it make sure you use flair wrenches on the lines and a 6 point box on the bleeder

cut the line clean off at the flare nut. smash a 6 point socket over the the fitting and unthread it. while spraying with some rust breaker. if your changing the lines any way no harm in cutting it off. and hitting the socket over it with a hammer usually breaks up most of the rust holding it togther.

i have used both methods but short temper usually ends up with pizzas method..never fails hahaha

i was thinking he was having an issue with the rubber line ya the ones that your replacing just hack em off

This the correct way if your replacing a bad line.

Nah man dont feel like an idiot. dont let anyone lie and say they were never in your shoes. all of us at some point knew Nuthing about cars and how to fix them. You'll get it if you keep at it. you dont seem like a dummy. just make sure you listen. and you'll be fine.

most important part is to replace and/or repair the bad lines instead of just clamping them with a vice grip pinching them like Pizza has done to his rear brakes...... lol
