got my car running... then it died again...
so i got the new car running today finally...pulled ghe plugs they looked ok, not great but ok. I had fuel going going in... I decided to give it one more crank and it started!!!!
Then driving it down the road and if i tried to goose it, it would sputter. It was surging pretty hard at first but it would cruise when i was easy on the gas. After about 10 mins it started to sputter and smelled like fuel and then died... No more start Any ideas?? |
Fuel pump or opti put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Those are my guesses

Matt's car had a problem with the fuel pressure regulator leaking out the vacuum line and flooding the engine, check the vac line to it and make sure you don't smell gas.

I love how the first comment involves the opti lol

Why wouldn't it? I know some one who has a brand new aeromotive fpr for sale!

fastest fix for a lt1 efi connections 24x kit ya its like 2 grand but that's only like 4 opties so it pays for it self in like what 4-5 years LOL

I'm gonna check the regulator next and see what's up with that. If that doesn't fix it then I gonna have to give it to a shop. I don't trust myself doing the opti... Plus I might as well replace the water pump while it's getting taken off anyway i suppose...

OPTI YES 24X IS LIKE 500. HARD PARTS THEN COIL AND PCM PARTS NEEDED . AND 10 HOURS TO REPIN YOUR HARNES OR BUY A NEW ONE LOLLL
i DID :nanafuck: |
its the opti. based on your symptoms and not seeing the car. usually if its fuel related IE (not a bad Fpr dumping fuel into the engine). but a typical bad fpr/no fuel pressure you wont smell fuel. if its ignition you usually smell Tons of fuel. thats my guess. i have seen the coil wire corroded also cause similar issues. as well as a bad coil/ICM i have a spare ICM i just found if you wanna try plugging it in and try it?
