its just going to take some fine tuning, tire pressure, burnout and launch rpm. those nittos may just not be enough tire but i wouldnt lose faith in them yet. notice how after lowing the tire pressure and doing the big burnouts the car would hook, but the clutch didnt last long enough to try launching at higher rpm. its also going to be more difficult to balance between tire spin and bogging the car with the 28s and 3.73s since the tires have to be hit real hard to get anything decent for a 60 ft but you already know that.
