Ive played several versions on pc 360 and ps3.

COD- no vehicles, small maps, small server sizes, very little strategy and all just snap shooting, make your own classes

BF- (other then BF3, they changed ALOT and removed alot of the best features.) Vehicles, bigger maps, larger servers, team based squad strategy, 4 different classes to choose from and customize within.

If you just want to shoot people any COD or BF3 is awesome, if you want real warfare feeling stick with the BF series. I have BF2 for pc and the gfx are a little out dated but other wise its a good game
