The leaves are always a big draw. That is one of the biggest reasons we always go during the first weekend of October, instead of Columbus Day weekend.

By going on the weekend we do, we are able to avoid most of the other "peepers" that wait until the holiday weekend.

I notice that a lot of cruises on this forum get cancelled if it rains, but ours goes off no matter what the weather brings. After a full year of planning and people always scheduling their vacation time around this trip, a little rain doesn't stop them. We've had some of our best trips with "less than ideal" weather.

This is definitely shaping up to be our largest attended trip to date
