Default egr problem

I just swapped back the original pcm in my car from the obd1 convert I got with my car. Its been 2 years now sence I had the original one so now I have egr code, when I press on the egr diaphragm the car will stall. Was wondering what could be the prob with it, I know of it possibly be clogged, or vacuum not opening it. I think the best thing to do is get it tuned out and block it off.

what was the purpose of swapping computers? and the computer has no idea whether its open or not. the feed back is from the EGR Solenoid. it needs to see vacuum and NO LEAKS! and thats it. ive just plugged the "valve" side of the solenoid and got rid of the light in the past.

I didn't notice any vacuum leaks but ill look for some by the egr. Ill unplug the power to it as well and see if the light go's out. The other computer is a madtuner obd1 convert with the program for the car, headers, stall, etc. I do notice a big difference between the 2. The obd2 has the original program in it still.

Why not just get the right OBD2 Tune?

I've got no issues with my Tune.... Pass Emission every time with flying colors

same thing, my car had an idiotic ob1 swap that made my car run like ass. And I couldn't even pass with it because its an obd2 car. swap it back and get your emissions tuned out, easy as pie!

Talking to pizza I have to check the vacuum line to the solenoid thatopperates the egr. Ill check that out as soon as I can. But on the obd1 convert the car runs better with that computer than the obd2 only because the obd2 has the stock tune still for the reason of going through CT emissions. The only thing I did to the obd2 was tune out the down stream o2s.

I just don't know why you would run obd1 when you can undeniably get a better tune with obd2, thats all
