Default Grimm Speed ported/coated stock manifolds

I must say I pleasantly surprised at just how good these came out. The only possible complaint I could put forth is on the front primaries just where the flange turns down there are some rough spots but looking at it I see no real way to get to that spot to polish it down. The rest came out great, he had extra coating so he even did heat shields, kinda strange but I think they look good. Also pulled out all the studs and cleaned them, cleaned all the bolts that hold on the heat shields and even returned the gasket I sent for the port matching, he even cleaned and tapped all the threads on the manifolds. I definitely give them 2 thumbs up for this work.

It was $425 including shipping (so about $390.00 for the cleaning, port, polish and coating). It was a little bit more because they had no background with LSX manifolds, if he does a few more it should bring the price down. Not much less then a set of shorties but less. This coating is ridiculously durable too. Waiting to see how they flow before I pass final judgment so we'll see.

I think they came out great, and they are precisely matched to the gaskets now, nicely taper in to a smooth transition and IMO look great (not big into flash). There are cheaper shorties out there but they are mostly chromed pieces of shit. Supposedly this coating is supposed to drop the temp about 100 degrees at the manifold and 60+ under the hood too. I am still mostly impressed with the attention to detail, very professional job.

Ours is $400.00 in repairs per year to get it waived. I am also big on being different and testing things. But I am also leaning more toward the street side of the car now, I don't have the time or money to race it anymore and I am sick of the noise on long road trips so I am also hoping this will quiet it down some. Plus I can make some $$$$ on the longtubes.... .
