Most people don't have an unlocked version anyway, not sure how many VIN #'s they let you do now per tuner but you will most likely need your own or go to a pro who has an unlocked version

Pretty much. This is why I charge $100 to just delete codes. That also doesn't go towards tuning costs in the future.

Instructions on how to delte the SES light on OBDII based models:

You'll need black tape and a pair of scissors.

1. Grab the roll of black tape with your left hand. (visa versa for south paws)

2. Then with your right index fingernail, scrape and pick at the start of the tape until you've peeled it back or given up in frustration.

3. Cut a 1" strip using the afore mentioned scissors. (you can use your teeth but it'll look all puto. Or ghetto to the Spanish impaired.)

4. Place the 1" strip of black tape over the SES light on your cluster being careful to place the sticky side down.

5. And lastly, take car to tuner when time permits.

The same may work for OBDI but no promisses.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any loss in perfomance (or gains for that matter) from performing this mod. Will not void manufacturer warranty but I would remove the tape just in case!
