V8 oportunity
so I have the opportunity to get a mild build Vortec 4800 LR4 out of a 2000 chevy silverado for free. It's a standard transmission, as is my 97 camaro. Is it worth doing a swap or even possible for that matter?

it would be a shit ton of work it would be like doing a full ls swap and you would need to go to the ls1 front drive intake and computer also you will hate how the truck trans shifts in a car.

i dont even think the truck trany will fit inside that tunnel. id say get the motor and then find your self a T56 and ECM and a harness. motor seems "worth It" but all that work for a 4.8?!?!

Remember also you have a v6 car. The fuel lines are too small to feed a v8 with any power. It is probably easier to just buy a v8 car.

fuel lines are the same size ron. alot of the cars wiring is the same too.
