Default Thinkin about nitrous build

Been throwin around the idea of a nitrous build. Done a good amount of research, and im thinking about a 100 shot on a single nozzle dry kit. I was looking at HSW's efi kit, along with the microedge controller.

kit:
http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/prod...cat=139&page=1

controller:
http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/prod...&cat=59&page=1

The car this spring will be getting, ls6 intake, mac mids and ORY, yank 4000stall that was remand to 3600, and 3.42s so ill have my bolt ons all set.

My main question is, do I need the controller? Im gonna be bringing the car out to Don anyway for a tune, but I dont wanna drive around with my timing down off the bottle, seeing how Im only gonna be using the bottle at the track maybe once or twice a month. So should I have Don tune for the bolts ons? and then use the controller for the nitrous? Or have Don tune for the nitrous and just run around with some timing pulled?

Any input, tips, advice welcome.

Those questions are better suited for Don himself. Always ask your tuner, hell give you the best advice

I ran a dry kit for awhile you will need big injectors a good maf and the right spark plugs but this will mean your car will be rich while na and you will have to make sure the maf is working properly or boom. I would go with a wet kit much less worry and you won't need big injectors cause with your other mods any decent size injector will be overkill.

Also u won't need a controller but a window switch or progressive controller would be a good idea

ya ill have to call Don and get his input. I dont have tons of money to throw at this(would like to stay sub $700). Im just browsing looking for the best and safest budget option. I have all winter to think it over and find the best set up for my application.

http://providence.craigslist.org/pts/2687918563.html
^this seems like a good deal, i wanted to stay away from a MAF setup(especially 2 stage, just over kill), but having bottle heater, opener included for that price is nice.

From what i've been reading, a 100shot on stock injectors should not be a problem. Seems like a couple people have done it, and done it overtime with no problems. If I have the room in my budget for new injectors, walboro, hotwire kit i'll make it happen.

100 dry and stock injectors are a big problem. 100 and wet doesn't bother injectors at all

Nitrous is not cheap if you want the motor to last.

Dry shot relies on the MAF. You need injectors(42lb) bottle heater and rpm switch. I personally hate dry kits.

Wet shot is easier and in my eyes safer. needs the bottle heater and rpm switch.

Either kit should be very good quality. Meaning no tiny solinoids ect. Wiring is extremely important with the correct relays ect.

Both kit's should run a new/bigger fuel pump setup.

What he said. Make sure it's set up with the safety switches.
Ever flagged the start of a street race where an ls1 car with a 150 shot and no window switch hiccuped on the starting line?
I have, and it wasn't pretty. Plastic intake+nitrous backfire= big fireball and nearly blowing the hood off. It was a shockwave I'll never forget.
