well they r already mounted i dont plan on autocrossing the car so im not to worried about it. if you saw the challange it was to get them over the bead in the rim i do not see them poping off any time soon. jays running 275 on his new wheels and i believe they r a 0.5 in the rear as well.

i was more worried about the fronts. are the sidewalls of the tires straight up or at an inward angle. Thats what you have to worry about. and by rolling the bead i mean pushing the outside bead of the rim inward on a hard corner/stop. there is a reason tires have recommended rim widths. and thats why. just trying to help yah not trying to come across as a dick or anything.

I would have to look at them again I'm not sure. I hear what ur saying and I know we r all just trying to help each other and spread the knowledge even though we may not have much!

I thought those tires seemed narrow enough to be concerned about too, maybe check with some tire shops and see if they consider it safe?

they recommend 9" wheel width for a 245 45 18. i think he'll be ok. looks like the section width for a tire that size is around 9.5".
