Generally when they tell you you'll get it in the mail you don't. They normally just say that to make you nervous.
But, if it does happen to show up it's always worth fighting it. You never know. First one is a magistrate hearing and you pay $25 the day of court for your appeal. If you lose you need to pay $50 that same day to schedule a hearing before a judge if you so decide. It used to be that the officer HAD to be at the judge hearing but I heard a while ago they changed that and any officer can cover . I'm not sure if thats the case but either way it gives you a point to argue with the judge. How can someone testify to your guilt that wasn't even there to witness anything?As for the charges to appeal I know that's current, just fought 2 tickets in the past month .
