Need a new car! Help?

So my 97 grand am finally is no longer worth fixing. Everything is rotted, literally almost everything. I need a car to get to my internship while I'm at school and will be driving to and from franklin & westfield on weekends. Looking for decently afforable, not horrible in snow, pretty good gas mileage and I preferably want it to last for a while. Also I would like to keep it from being horribly awful. So I have no idea what to get. Maybe like 2 years old? Not a piece of junk?

Ben will clearly be a huge helper in this decision but just want a larger sample of opinions
This is going to be the first not complete beater car I've ever bought sooo I have no idea what I'm doing!
