Ok now since the weather is starting to get better my car doesn't want to run like it did this winter. It's almost acting like it was earlier last year before Don rewired the fp relay.
Have noticed a few things that happens when it seems to start acting up. The main one is temperature related, only happens when the ambient temp is greater than 60 or so degrees out. Car doesn't act up in the mornings just yet. Not sure if it is voltage related, but again, in the mornings the car will run about 14.2 volts, and for some crazy reason, afternoons when it's warmer out, only runs to about 13.4v or so volts(didn't put a dvm on it just eyeballed it according to the gauge). While the car is chugging, the oil pressure drops to 30-35psi and starts acting relative to engine load (higher rpm and pressure comes back up). It almost seems like a pretty bad miss, or vac leak. rough idle, hesitation and almost completely unresponsive throttle at times when it gets pretty bad. It only does this on idle, so leads me to believe it could be a few things related to it. A) Vacuum leak - maybe somewhere in the PVC line system or manifold related B) IAC or TPS - only does it when the car has ran for about an hour after driving home from work. Doesn't act up in the mornings when it's cooler. Also had a P0171 code show up the other day, I think it's just because I was trying to get it home. Cleared the code, but had another one pending today as well that didn't trigger the mil lamp. Below is the list of the readings from my scanner when the mil triggered yesterday: TROUB CODE P0171 ABSLT TPS(%) 0.4 ENG SPEED(RPM) 896 CALC LOAD(%). 2.7 MAF(LB/M). 1.02 MAP("HG). 8.6 COOLANT TEMP(F) 174 ST FTRM1(%). 6.3 LT FTRM1 (%). 24.2 ST FTRM2(%). 9.4 LT FTRM2(%). 24.2 VEH SPEED(MPH). 4 FUEL SYS 1. CLSD FUEL SYS 2. CLSD Anybody want to chime in? And Don if you get to read this, got some free time to play with my car again?
