Hi David-
My 68 L30/M20 convertible is at LaBrecque right now for the body restoration.
I was wondering where all those other first-gen parts came from!

Hi Jeff,

Cool! I wasn't sure about bringing it to LaBrecque at first since it looked like they only worked on Mopars, but I have seen a few Camaros there. Got any pics of your car?

David

Here's what it looked like the day my father took delivery of it on July 6, 1968:

Here's what it looks like now. Keep in mind that it was at another body shop before LaBrecque got it. They are now making it right.
Arrival:

Rear quarter work:

The last shop screwed up the installation of my NOS door skins, so off they came. Another set of NOS skins are being put on correctly by LaBrecque:

Basically, almost everything done by the other shop is being un-done by the pros at LaBrecque. It is being stripped back to bare metal and everything done properly.

That is awesome. It is great to see a car stay in the family for that long of a time period!!!

Mike showed me the door problems on the car a few weeks ago. He does great work so I am sure you will be happy with it when he is done.

Are you going with the original color?

you better not go lemans blue I have come to hate that color due to so many people spraying over original cars with it almost as bad as the Fire Glow Orange

David - Yes, I'm sticking with the original Ash Gold.

Are you sure we can't talk you into going with the original Olympic Gold of your car? It would look really nice with the black Yenko stripes (assuming you are keeping them).
Also, maybe I missed it, bit is this a Yenko re-creation? Supposedly there were only about 10 Olympic Gold Yenkos built.

Check out this thread for some Olympic Gold Yenkos:

I'm just not a huge gold color fan. It doesn't look bad, and the cars original color was olympic gold. I looked at loads of pictures and really like the lemans blue with white stripes.

Yes, it is a clone car and I like the Yenko theme. I will look at more Olympic Gold pictures and see if I change my mind.
