Matt, I'll check with Mike next time I'm at the shop.

I just saw that the Z is shown on the front page of the Camaro Research Group: www.camaros.org
It's the one on the far right. Cool! If you click on it, it shows you a bigger pic.

Mike painted the stands the same color as the carpet.

and he's making some progress.

The grille has been repainted back to the correct Argent Silver (the first owner rattle canned it black).

And the DZ 302 has been repainted the correct Chevy orange.

Correct. It's supposed to be natural with overspray. From a Camaro Research Group post "The bellhousing was on the engine when it was painted, and normally shows at least overspray on the forward 3"-4", although coverage varied greatly."

for natural parts, we are using Rust Prevention Magic (RPM): http://ecsautomotive.com/rpm.php

It's only been around for about 2 years, but almost all the reviews I've read on the stuff are very good. I'm hoping it holds up over time.

Yep. You are absolutely right and Mike was going to paint them a natural color, but a lot of guys have been using the RPM stuff with good results.
