Thanks guys!

The goal is to have it ready for the Camaro Nationals in 216 days. About 5 of the former owners (all are ex-Air Force guys) said they want to go see it at the Nationals in Maryland.

The quarter panel body work is almost done.

The original door panels I picked up on EBay were restored. The ones that were on the car were too far gone to repair.

The DZ 302 was rattle-can painted Chevy Orange at Precision Automotive, but Mike believes the shade of orange was not correct and is going to paint it correctly. He also coated the intake and restored the cap plug and re-installed it.

David- Did they paint the intake? It kind of looks like it. If so, the judges may not like it. Also, check out CRG and Team Camaro for info on orange paint overspray on the intake manifold.

216 days? That's a tall order!!

Mike did paint the intake and you're right that the judges definitely won't like it painted. Mike tried painting it to make it look better since there is some discoloration and pitting, but I think we're going to have to find a better solution.

The only good thing is that the car will be in the BowTie class. All first year entries have to go into the Bowtie class unless a Legends judge already knows the car. With the BowTie class, the judging is much more relaxed.

214 days now. lol.

Mike seems to think it's no problem since it didn't need loads of metal/body work. I'm not so sure.
