Tire advice?

Well i got 18 in back and i think im gonna stick with the 295 so i wont have to worry about rubbing. I looked on that performanceplustire and the nt-05's i looked at are still 234.00 a tire.

For dd, I'd say stay with the F1 GS-D3's. I'm on 18's @ 10.5 wide and running 285/35/18's. Keep it right at the stock height.

NT05's now at the same size and they stick AWESOME on the street!

When I first got them, still the same look tho.

Yea i might go with the 285's in back since they are about $20 cheaper per tire than the 295's. I'm runnin 265/40/17 up front so i wanna level it out a little.

Discount tire zone has 285/35/18 for 190.00 in Nt05's but no warranty unless i buy four.. Total would be around 425.00 shipped.

Discount tire direct has the same ones at 219.00 a tire. They offer a 3 year warranty for damaged or defected tires which is another $55. Total shipped will be $500 and they come with valve stems if u want to buy them. Free replacement and free shipping if they're damaged.

Not sure if i should even bother with a warranty and go the cheaper route?
I wanna change these tires soon since they rub around hard corners and dips in the road.

I wouldnt bother with a warrantee but thats just me.

315s rubbing all depends on a lot of different factors. For some people they put them right on and have no issues.. other people they rub. Depends on how you drive the car.. the car underneath is different on everyones car.. 315's are different widths depending on what tire it is. 315's I would consider doing a little modification for a piece of mind. I did some mod to make them fit and still got slight rubbing on the outer fender only when doing autox slaloms... it wasn't even happening around seekonk speedway.

The 555 street tires tread will last forever. I put those on my car like 6 years ago... they still have perfect tread on them, lol. They will rot out before the tread is gone. 555 best daily driver friendly option.. NT05 I'll probably go with if I do a street tire autox class with the Camaro next year. They are stickier. 555r's are sticker than the nt05 and nice on the street. I even used 555r's in the front for the speedway for the past 3 years... they have good sidewalls.

I just put 555's on mine, and I love them. I was amazed at how well they hooked at the track, but then again I have a stock A4 with 2.73's. If I was making any power I'd probably have more of a traction issue.

Now Mike didnt you just run you personal bests on those tires too. i bet 60 foot had something to do with it. 555R's out back are my next set of tires i buy for "street" tires!

Yup!

I don't remember what my 60' times were with my old tires, but I was running 2.1's pretty consistantly with the 555's.

I was thinking of going with the R's out back, but I drive alot, so I went with the regular ones. Good choice, the regular ones work fine for me.

Maybe if I ever get the 3.42's out back I'll need the R's.

yeah Thats what im saying!! Great tire all around! and if i didnt have so much low end id be getting them. the 16" 5+ year old 555R's HELDDDD i didnt realize it till i got the Avons from BrokenFeather.
