Default Am I being paranoid? Lifter noise? (video)

Ok so all of you know the issues that I have had over the past several months. Now that the car is running again. I am not sure if I am being paranoid about engine noises or if the car is making a lifter tick. I already tried tighning down the header bolts. I pulled the valve cover and checked pushrods, rockers, and checked to see if a lifter was collapsed by pushing down on the pushrod to see if the lifters moved. Everything seems ok. When my wifes car had a bad lifter the noise got worse over a small period of time (2 or 3 days) and starting making a chirping type noise. The noise hasnt got worse, so I would think thats a good thing. This is more of a ticking but it seems more than the usual ls1 sewing machine noise. Here is a video and its coming from the driver side. I will try to take a better video if need be.

It's the springs or lifter preload.

So do I need new springs? How would I check or change lifter pre-load? Pushrod length not right?

Just a little update. I haven't really driven the car lately and decided to take it for a drive. Noise is still there. Just out of paranoia I drained some oil and checked the plug for metal. All seems good. Like Don said could it be the valve springs being worn? My first motor didn't seem to make this noise. I am using the same length push rods. 7.4 valve springs are patriot dual golds.

have heard them that noisy after the heads have been cut. were the heads cut if so how much? may need a push rod length checker to narrow it down. pull a valve cover and a rocker or 2. make sure the contact patch is in the center of the valve tip. if need be use some marking compound to verify.

if the rockers are contacting in the center of the stem and you didnt change anything like the cam. it might be spring. and honestly unless its getting worse or you have some nasty low rpm(<5000) valve float. i wouldnt be worried.

Yeah that what my plan was. If it doesn't get worse than oh well.

called my buddy today. He has a push rod checker. Said he might stop by Sunday to help me check.
