ever looked into the EFI Connections Setup? running a 24X or even the better 58X ecm off of the LSx motors will have a much better result then running an aftermarket setup and the Opti. id run the coil per plug ANY DAY over a dizzy especially under pressure! Good Luck with the setup and WELCOME!

Ohh and PICS OR BAN!!!! haha

Yes was thinking of using the 24x or the 58x efi connection, but i would have to swap to lsx pcm correct ,harness re pin from lt1 to the ls pcm$ 500 bucks for reluctor wheels and another 500 in coils done the research and im sure there's a much more cheaper way out. Im going to run the msd opti for a while the lt1 pcm is good underboost till about 7000 rpm i believe correct if wrong!

Happy thanksgiving everyone!!!

whats the hp goals? you doing a rear mount? i only ask cuz u list pace setter headers.what rpm are you looking to turn?,how much boost? Is that 70mm a t4 or t6,what a/r..what you doing for cross over size.whats the lobe on the cam?

honestly i would have the heads ported and look at the flow data, air speed an such of the heads then pick a cam.

a t70 is small with 383..its good for street use but depending on what you go with you might be in boost alot or be over working the turbo if you ever want to up your game and boost..

Im looking to get any were from 570-700 hp hoping maybe more if all goes as planned, its a frontmount turbo setup i currently have a supert70 t3/t4 and a t4 tc78 mostlikely going with the tc78 standard bearing but was goin to try the t70 first kick in around 4000 rpm i believe? as for the pace setters sorry from diff signiture off the motor currently using in car have swaped to hooker super comp longtubes tho.As for the cam i already picked out and installed its a Comp Cams 224 /236 .605/.624 with 1.6 (Serial Number# C 0505/ Part# 07-000-8/ Grind# LT1 3192S/3196S HR116+4 if this helps yah!
the turbo setup
Realquick hotparts
log manifolds.
2.5" cross over pipe
V-band flanges
3" downpipe
50mm HKS style wastegate with various springs for different boost levels
3 O2 sensor bungs (2 for closed loop and one on the DP for a wideband setup)
dont have cold side yet!
heads and intake talked with chad golen already pretty possitive on the setup but all opinions matter!

not knowing your a/r on the turbos but with it being a t4 and 2.5 cross over with a t70 i would put you making boost lower then that depending on a/r i would say you would probley be in max boost for your app by then..3.0 cross over would help with that..but like i said the a/r would tell all..probley small though..

the 78 would leave you more room to grow..honestly im a huge fan of the bw s400 series..600$ turbo an you cant beat it really..get the 75mm with a 1.10 a/r an run a 2.5 cross..that would be the setup i would do on a 383 for street..if i was more race then it would be the s480 which is the 80mm version or the new s500 in a 88mm with 1.32 a/r

you have the bottom end to hold a 80-91mm really..you could look into the garret gt88mm which is around 1250 new also.

Also dont sleep on the jgs blow offs and waste gates thats what a shit ton of people are using now for gates and blow offs..if not the procharger big red blow off is killer also.

if both your 78 an 70 have small a/r's then you will want to run a larger cross over to try and slow the rpm window of full boost that you have planed and over spinning the turbo and choking it with back pressure

oh ditch the logs..they suck and crack alot..check out the cheap ebay turbo headers..the ones that point forward..cut the t4 ends off you will have to mod a tube or 2 but some say just a hammer mod and some just a tube re routed mod..then finsh hot side and send out to have coated..done right hot side will only cost around 500 600

3" down pipe is tiny..its that what the ass end of the turbo is? man thats small of so..if your knecking it down then make sure you run the normal size for a bit then kneck her down...also your o2 you will want about 8" or a tad more off the ass end of the turbo
