What about a cage? 10 point minimum but should look at 25.5.

Haha I want to drive it a little then the cage will be started over the winter. I want to run low 9s so a 10 will do I just hope I do not get hooked and want to hit 8s. I'm trying to keep it a street car

Your car should be running 8's from how you have it built now.

I would seriously consider caging it this winter. Then you won't be whining in the spring when you can't race it anywhere.,

Thanks man I appreciate that I sure hope it can get into the 8s just really never set a goal just kept buying parts left and right.
Your right I might as well do the cage this winter get it over with. I know people go back and forth about chromoly you actually think its worth it when all is said and done?

Ya I wonder how much lighter it is when its all together. The pre bent ones are cheap but fitmemt isn't as good as they say. It would be awesome to make an entire cage but Benders aren't cheap lol

Have a proffesional shop do a chromoly one. There are lots of rules out there. You need chromoly because you can add on to it. reg steel is only good for 8.5's.

Do it now while the shops are not so busy. Springtime could be a 3-4 month wait.

8.5's is plenty for me but chromoly it is like you said in case i need to add to it. I've noticed the rules get crazy once you get under the 9.0 mark as i'm seeing with Curt. When he ran the 8 they wanted him to go up to the tower! LOL

Curt never did the one easy thing- Have the cage cert. done.

When you go to the track you want to run, not play games and get 1-2 runs in.
