Help choosing DR sizes.
I'm thinking about either getting another pair of 255 50 16 Mickey Thompson ET Streets. However I have a pair of 17" SS wheels that I would love to paint to match my other wheels and put 275 40 17 MT ET Streets so the car always looks the same (sleeper stats). My question is this:
I know the 275's on the 17's would be wider, but would the shorter sidewall be too stiff and maybe have less traction? I'm trying to weigh the pro's/cons, the 275s would be more expensive but would be real awesome to have matching wheels all the time. I hook very well with the 255's on salad shooters right now.

id go with the 255 50 16s, lighter tire and lighter wheel. your car doesnt need anymore tire than that

My car has to much tire, but I kinda prefer it cause I never have to worry about spinning, I think the 275 Dr is a perfect tire on the street around our power levels, hook and book lol
if I had the coin knowing what I know now is be going to the track on stock rims with the lightest Dr i can get my hands on and runing the 275 on the street so I'm cutting good 60s either way.

the 255's are definitely cheaper. but i would love to run the same 4 wheels. I might do that then and just save some $$$ for the tires. Just didnt want to make the switch and have traction problems. I spin the 255's at the track occasionally.
