Yeah, I think I''m gonna shoot for something like that next. It's a little much but it should NEVER break.

After looking into 12 bolts I'll stick to the 9" since it'll be stronger in the long run and we all know I change things up all the time like a retard...

Pizza what kinda axles came with your rear? I was thinking of ordering some Strange 35 splines.

i like moser axles better then anyones axles. and thats what comes with the QP rear it was $1050 to my door and it came with either 31 or 35 spline Moser axles. best bet for the doe. and a center section can be had for under 500. i bought an open diff 3.50 gears center section for 190 shipped and bought a full weight drag spool for another 100 shipped. and new bearings were like 30 bux. all in all $1350 ish for a complete new Ford 9" you cant beat that.

Sounds good to me, how long did it take for you to get it after ordering? I coulda saved you 100 bux on the center section lol

I think I'll deff. go with 35 splines axles though since the motor is quite torquey and I'll be leaving off a brake, plus if I ever swap heads it'll bring me close to the limits I would think.

you dont want to go too big and waiste rotating mass for nothing. if you dont NEED 35 splines dont get 35 splines. 31 spline axles will handle a 500rwt car with a 3.06 first gear dumping it in first at peak torque. i wouldnt worry too much about it especially with an auto launched off break or not you still arent hitting like a manual.

First gear is 2.48:1, Second gear is 1.48:1, and Third gear is 1:1

4200 off the brake

31 spline will hold that and then some!! no need for 35's IMO. just added weight for nothing. and with 31 splines you can run a smaller 2.89 bearing and save a bit more. or even run a 3.06 case either way its cheap. as a 35 spline spool or carrier wont fit a 3.06 or a 2.89 case. and the ones that do i wouldnt use. the bearing race surface will be rather thing. if i were to run 35 splines id get a strange 3.25 case and build from there but wen you doen with a good posi or locker your looking at $700 Plus and for not a shit ton added strength for what your gunna use it for.
