Default Outer Tie Rod

Been noticing a lot of noise from my Passenger wheel and noticed I need to replace my outer tie rod which I've never done before lol but from write-ups etc seems easy enough. Anything against throwing a refurbished part in there temporarily until i can redo the whole front end ? Supposedly its a refurbished Moog part, Part# RES3238RL. I plan on buying an entire K-member setup with upper and lowers etc the whole shabang so why waste money now. Or maybe I'm wrong. Throwing myself to the wolves I suppose. Either way I'll be throwing it on this weekend... Any tips are welcome It can't be any worse than the one I have on the car now.

Simple job just crack the nut free on the steering rack side of the tie rod don't turn it too far so that way when u put on the replacement when it hits the nut it's where it belongs and ur alignment will be very close. Also when it comes time to break free the old tie rod from te knuckle use a big hammer and hit on the flattest spot of the knuckle right next to the threads of the tie rod so it will shock it and the rod will pop right out. I personally wouldn't buy refurbished but that's me. Nothing wronG with moot parts but I like my GM all GM. Good luck.

A refurbished tie rod end? I've never heard of that. I would just get a new one. They are dirt cheap.

Like stated before. Hit the spindle where the tie rod bolts to it with a hammer and it will knock it free. Learned that one the hard way a long time ago.

Yeah, not sure if I'd take my chances with a rebuilt, even though it's a Moog, still the one word that worries me, rebuilt.

What I would prefer to do is just buy 2 new high quality ones and call it done but its difficult to spend my own money lmao otherwise I could have a lot more done to my car. My wife is so damn protective of money haha. Hell even better just let me buy the whole new front steering and suspension package now. Can anyone brainwash my wife lmao. Posting this from my phone at work so if it comes out weird don't blame me

you can go buy one off the shelf of autozone and itll last. You want quality you should have never put the shitmaster on the back of the car.

Its wise never to assume something. With that said I bought the car with a stainless steel flowmaster catback . I never said I did it. I would love to meet the idiot who did though lmao. No offense taken though. And I'm only trying to get it fixed temporarily until I can convince the wife to let me spend my money. The engine swap kinda put the brakes on my cash allowance lol.

They are tie rod ends. The wear out and go bad with whatever brand you have over time. Get moogs and call it a day.
