direct swap as long as it has the same abs. a 3 channel can be made a 4 channel but you cant make a 4 a 3.

I believe you would have to swap the axles over because they have the reluctor wheels for the TCS. Even if you don't want/use it that would at least keep the idiot lights in the dash off.

you have to put your axles, backing plates, brake lines and sensors/harness on the 3 channel rear.

I saw on tech all you have to do is drill a hole in the top and drop the sensor in? That's not correct? If thrats the case im taking the bulb out of the dash for now its not worth it in two months I'm doing a Ford 9"

thats to convert a 4 channel to 3 channel. however doing that requires putting a reluctor wheel on the diff, im not sure how complicated that is.
youll still need to put your brakelines on the 3 channel rear because the 4 channel cars (cars with traction control) have two seperate brake lines going to the rear brakes vs 1 brake line the 3 channels use. confused yet lol.

traction control controls the brake pressure to each wheel individually as well as a better control for ABS. i took all that crap off. but its a safety thing. and all you need to do to keep it is is swap your backing plates with the sensors. and the axles for the reluctors. but unless the rear end has brakes already on it? you will need to swap that crap over anyway.

yeah swap axles over with your backing plates. you have to remove them to swap the brakes Anyway. best thing i do is eithre mark wich way is back, up, down, or faces out on all the shit thats coming out WITH the rear end and you will need to swap over. then you will need to drop the rear cover. remove either the paddle pin or spider shaft depending on what carrier you have? if its an Auburn you will see yellow springs and it will have an 8mm(possibly7mm) bolt holing in the pin. if you have a Zexel Torsen you will hardly be able to see inside the unit and you will see a small tab on the top of what i call a paddle. its a square pin the holds the axles inplace. BE CAREFULL!!! removing this bolt. if it breaks forget it you wont get your axles out.
ok now that the pin is out. puch each axle in SLOWLY as not to ruin the seal at the end but push it in far enough to allow the c clip enough room to pop out. catch it with a magnet. and then reassemble the same way. and use either yellow or blue locktite to hold in the pin bolt. Do Not use Red. or you will break the bolt the next time you try and remove it unless you heat it with a map/propane torch. any questions text me. 508 208 0525.
